Travel in Malaga
The city of Malaga was founded by the Phoenicians in the 8th century. It is located in the southern Mediterranean Sea and is one of the best tourist attraction sites. It was turned into a very big city by the Carthaginians realized the importance of the city.
Malaga was captured by the Arabs in the year 711 and experienced a fast progress since then. It began exporting products like ceramics and muscatel grapes to the entire Mediterranean region. In 1487, the Catholics inhabited the place and completely changed the culture of the area. The entire city gradually became a mess with its poor organization that lead to epidemics and other disasters. However, the problem was solved in the 18th century after to the discovery of America.
Currently, Malaga offers a unique shopping experience with its unique fashions and designs. You can shop at Castro Commercial, Rosaleda, and Malaga plaza. Shops within Malaga are open from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm, with an exception of very few who choose ot close down early.
One of the best adventures within Malaga is sight-seeing. If you stand at the top of the Gibraltar, then you will be able to get a view of the most magnificent sights surrounding the city. You will also enjoy strolling along the streets which have varied types of phenomena associated with them. All you would need to carry is your camera.
The city has restaurants all over the place, offering fresh local products. Some of the food items offered are fried fish, cod omelets, papanduas, and many more. Drinks are also available. One of the great places you are bound to see is the Museo de Arte Sacro which is a very big museum with collections of interesting religious stories. Other Muslims sites are Gibralfaro, La manguita, and Iglesia del Sagrario.
